Our shooting ground is affiliated to the British Association for Shooting and Conservation and our facilities are available to anyone wishing to test their skill in this popular and exciting sport.
A unique local history
Shooting takes place in what was once a sandstone quarry excavated by the Romans which, as our name suggests, has long since greened over. It provides an ideal and picturesque setting for clay pigeon shooting. We make use of the undulating terrain and abundant foliage to create exciting and realistic targets skilfully set up to simulate partridge, duck, rabbits and more. Including our famous high pheasants of up to 150ft.
Family run and local
We are a family-run business and have been providing clay shooting here for over 30 years. We pride ourselves in providing a unique shooting experience with a personal touch, delivering high quality instruction. Every booking has the benefit of the exclusive use of our ground and our facilities.
There is no need to own a gun or to have shot before.
Tuition, use of guns, cartridges, shooting jackets and ear defenders can all be provided.
